The American Le Mans Series

Corvettes have been used as pace cars at a number of races around the country to include the Indy 500 and the American Le Mans Series. A series in which the Corvette has dominated for many years and is still running strong having set a very high standard of performance and realibility.

The Corvette C6R

In the American Le Mans Series the Corvette C6R dominated the series to the point that the Corvetee had to carry extra weight to slow the C6R down - in theory this was to give the competitors some chance of winning. Yet the Corvette C6R still came out on top.
